Today you made a worship workshop possible for 30 teenagers from Belgium, France and Ukraine.
During the workshop, we asked the teens to divide into groups of four and to plan a worship set around a theme of their choosing.
The Belgian and French groups each chose different themes – ‘peace’, ‘baptism’, and ‘freedom’. But all three Ukrainian groups — independently, without consulting each other — chose the same one … ‘God’s love’.
Think about that for a moment. These are teenagers who have spent years under sirens, in bunkers, in a country at war. And when given complete freedom to choose anything — ‘God’s love’ is what they reached for.
In the middle of everything they’ve been through, that’s what their hearts are crying out for.
Thanks to you, that’s why we’re here … to share God’s love with these teens and all of the others at camp.
