You Helped Resource Phill, a Leader in Zambia

By Jeff Slaughter

A few days ago, I received an email from Phill Kalota, a worship leader in the African nation of Zambia.

Phill was looking for a school of worship in which he could enroll so that he could grow in his leadership skills and serve the Lord better in Africa.
Because of your generosity and support, I was able to guide Phill toward opportunities that will help him grow and make an even greater impact in Zambia.

This is the difference you are making. Here’s how the story unfolds…

“I Will Be a Better Worship Leader”
From time to time, we receive emails from worship leaders like Phill in countries outside of Europe who are desperate for training, encouragement and connection. But because our primary calling is to the European church, we are often unable to accommodate their requests.

Phill learned of our ministry through the European Worship Institute website. His request was simple:

“My desire is to learn more about the music ministry and be able to help Africa and the world to do music the right way,” said Phill. “I strongly believe if I can be given a chance to study at the school, I will be a better worship leader for the Master’s use.”

I explained to Phill that our training formats are designed to reach the majority of leaders in Europe who are unable to enroll in a long-term training school due to work or university studies.

That’s why we offer training programs that range from an evening coaching session (Focus) and a one-day regional conference (ConVerge), to a three-day intensive training camp (Immerse).

Thanks To You
While I wasn’t able to accommodate Phil’s request directly, thanks to you, I was able to refer him to resources that he may be able to access including:
* Continental Theological Seminary’s Bible School and Worship Music Degree in Brussels
* Youth With A Mission’s Three-Month Worship School in Amsterdam
* And multiple training videos found on YouTube.

Phill replied kindly after I sent these resources to him and to date, that was the extent of our encounter.

While this may seem like a small thing, over the years we’ve seen that just one resource such as a referral to a Bible school, a contact in their area of the world, or even a You Tube video can make a big impact.

This kind of resourcing would not be possible without you.

Thank you for strengthening leaders – even those in faraway countries like Zambia.

You are making a difference!
