You Treated Pastors to a Post-Pandemic Dinner in Portugal

It’s not every day that you get to treat pastors in Portugal to a dinner and gifts, but that’s what you did this spring!

After a two-year absence in Portugal due to the pandemic, worship pastor Jim Young (Cornerstone Church, Jackson, MS) and I met in Portugal to renew our relationship with ministry partners in Lisbon.

This is where you come in … you made it possible for us to treat these leaders to dinner, gifts, and encouraging conversation.

Those leaders included Eddie and Marta Fernandes, who pastor Riverside International Church in Cascais (southwest of Lisbon), and their worship leader, Renee Soares.

Riverside is a vibrant church with campuses in Cascais, Lisbon, Algarve and Coimbra. And since 2017, this church has hosted annual ConVerge worship training events.

We hope to resume worship training events with Riverside in 2023 and continue the mission of inspiring passion and strengthening leaders in the nation of Portugal.

We’ll keep you posted – after all, you bought them dinner!
