Zenaida Hernandez-Belza (Zen) remembers the first Converge worship training event you made possible in the Andalusia region of southern Spain 11 years ago.
“I vividly remember the message about the heart, mind, and hands of a worship leader,” she recalls. “That a worship leader must be humble and sincere. That our minds must be renewed. And that our hands must serve—not to impress people, but to love them well.”
When Zen heard that Converge 2025 would be offered near her new hometown of Málaga this year, she registered her worship team of 13.
And once again, she was encouraged and inspired at a worship training event you helped make possible.
As Christ Loves Us
Zen first encountered the life-changing love of Jesus at age 12 and soon felt called to worship ministry. What began quietly—projecting lyrics during services—grew into a decades-long journey of leading worship.
This year’s Converge theme, ‘I Believe’, struck a deep chord with her.
“I was reminded that God is a God of promise,” she says. “He is true to His Word. Believing means surrendering our lives to Him and walking in obedience.”
Breakout sessions and workshops sparked honest conversations about common ministry challenges.
“What stayed with me most,” she says, “was how we were reminded to love and understand one another—as Christ loves us.”
Your Support Is Bearing Fruit
Since returning from Converge, Zen says her team is applying what they learned.
“We’re praying together more, listening to the Holy Spirit, and focusing on what it really means to glorify God through worship,” she says.
She adds that Converge is the only worship training event available in her area of Spain.
“What Converge offers is rare—and so needed,” Zen says. “We’re thankful beyond words.”
