We held our third ConVerge Spain on March 5 in the southwestern city of Cordoba. Some 60 worship leaders, vocalists, musicians and sound technicians from seven churches attended the training event including from nearby cities such as El Puerto de Santa Maria and Seville.
In addition to me, the teaching team included Angela Greenwood of All Nations Christian Fellowship of El Puerto de Santa Maria, Jim Young, worship pastor of Cornerstone Church, Jackson, MS, USA, and Mucho Gonzalez and Brennan White also of Cornerstone.
Spain has been a nice surprise and a new area of growth for the European Worship Institute. When more than 100 participants showed up at our first ConVerge near Cadiz two years ago, we realized the hunger for worship training in this corner of Europe. Since then, we’ve held training events in Barcelona and our most recent one in Cordoba; and are talking about an event in Madrid as well as a summer camp in 2017.
